Meet the B102 Cypress ADU Design
Crisp and contemporary, this design enlarges and enhances second floor spaces with bay windows creating expressive exterior volumes. The design features a large, welcoming and protective canopy. The plan packs numerous features and functions into a 770 sf envelope which is easily expanded for non-ADU uses.. The ground floor open floor plan features two connections to the outdoors: from the living room at the rear and the side conveniently adjacent to the kitchen. Adding an enclosure at the living room end creates a screened porch—a practical benefit in many regions. An open stairwell visually enlarges the living room space with multiple windows including a full height array admitting substantial daylight and views while providing a/c saving cross ventilation.
Upstairs there is flexibility for two bedroom sleeping or guest/study uses. The main bedroom can open to the stairwell for a loft effect or use flexible closure or full closure for maximum privacy.
