A stylish, classic, Craftsman design featuring a distinctive, welcoming and protective front porch. The plan packs plenty of features and functions into its 750 sf envelope which is easily expanded for non-ADU uses. The ground floor open floor plan has two connections to the outdoors: from the living room at the rear, and to the side conveniently adjacent to the kitchen. Adding an enclosure at the living room end creates a traditional screened porch—a practical benefit in many regions. An open stairwell visually enlarges the living room space and a vertical array of windows admits ample daylight while providing a/c saving cross ventilation.
Upstairs there is flexibility for two bedrooms or guest/study uses. The main bedroom can open to the stairwell for a loft effect or can use flexible or full closure for maximum privacy.
