EVENT DESCRIPTION
This month, we're joined by Amanda Sprinkling-Felt, a femme small business owner, home inspector, and owner of multiple homes in Portland. Amanda will discuss what makes a good home inspector, what to expect from an inspection, and what questions to ask your inspector. We'll have plenty of time to answer your questions.
ABOUT FEMME-FOCUSED CONSTRUCTION NIGHT
Our femme-focused construction nights are social hours and workshops for all women, femmes, transgender, bigender, non-binary, gender fluid, genderqueer, agender, and gender non-conforming folks. If you don't feel like any of these apply to you and you would still like to come, please reach out! Contact Production Manager Leah Chubb at 775-219-5256 or leah.chubb@greensavers.com.
We have three goals:
Connection. This is a safe space for people who want to learn more about home improvement and connect with others who are doing the same. You may not feel comfortable starting a project by yourself, but if you make a construction buddy, maybe you can team up for projects.
Education. Unless you built your own house, you can't know everything (or if you just moved in, ANYTHING) about your house. We are here to help you learn about home construction and when is a good time to tackle something yourself and when is good to hire a professional. Learn something new, and practice with the pros in our workshops.
Empowerment. You'll leave empowered with an understanding of what you need to take charge of home improvement projects.
